Actress and model Claudia Julieta Ramirez Valdez, known as Claudia Ramirez, was born in Minatitlan, Veracruz, Mexico on July 30, 1964. As a teenage model, she had great popularity in television commercials in the early 80's, later entering Televisa's Centro de Educación Artística (CEA). At the age of 18 she made her television debut alongside Rebecca Jones in the soap opera El Ángel Caído (1982) and the following year she had an uncredited role in the feature film Dune. In 1986 she appeared in the film Crónica de Familia, which won an Ariel for best screenplay. She continued to participate in films and soap operas until 2001, before retiring for a while from the artistic world to devote herself to her husband and two children.
