A long interview with Uruguay's greatest writer, in Madrid a few months before his death. From his bed, Onetti talks about literature, creativity, and his origins.
Ideia Vilariño (Montevideo, August 18, 1920 – April 28, 2009) was an Uruguayan poet, essayist, and literary critic, belonging to the group of writers known as the Generation of '45. Among her lesser-known roles were those of translator, composer, and teacher.
